North Ayrshire Council provided overall management of the project, identified and secured a funding package, and administered and delivered on the structural engineering works.

Lochranza & Catacol Sea Society set up the Community Interest Company, a non-profit making organisation for the benefit of the community and sea-users. They provided match funding from fund-raising in the community and private donations, developed a business plan and now own and run the facility.

Highlands & Islands Enterprise provided financial support to the development of the project.

The Sportsman's Charity works with LCSS to enable disabled access at the facility.

"North Ayrshire Council was extremely supportive of our proposal right from day one when we first approached them with our idea. The expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm of their personnel ensured the project was funded and managed efficiently, professionally and within our anticipated timescale." Vic Pierce, Lochranza & Catacol Sea Society
