North Ayrshire's appeal to sailors is due to many contributing factors - its large area of safe waters, spectacular scenery, uncrowded areas, beautiful islands, variety of wildlife, quality marinas at Ardrossan and Largs, its convenient geographical locations and the warm welcome local people extend to visitors.
With such an abundance of assets, North Ayrshire has without doubt the potential to become one of the top sailing destinations in the west of Scotland. However, this can only be achieved with outside support and investment.
