Working with our public and private sector partners we commissioned research by the McKenzie Wilson Partnership Group entitled, 'Sailing in the Clyde Estuary: The Potential for Future Development. A Market Assessment, Economic Impact Study and Action Plan'. Findings were that the marine leisure sector in Scotland is sustaining growth, with marina operators seeing this trend as continuing. It confirmed that if Scotland is to maintain its market position, there will be a need to provide new berths and destinations - the number of berths could double in the next 10-15 years, yielding a further £50 million to the Clyde economy.
