Other Consents /
Permissions
In addition to planning, other consents/ permissions which may be required include:
- A licence under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985, Part II Deposits in the Sea (As amended) (FEPA licence).
- A Works Licence from the Harbour Authority (Clydeport or Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (Largs)).
- Section 34 Consent from the Scottish Ministers for works in tidal waters, where works extend below MHWS.
- A licence from the Crown Estates where they are the owners of the land.
- An Environmental Impact Assessment in certain circumstances.
Applications to other public bodies may also be required, including Northern Lighthouse Board, Scottish National Heritage and Historic Scotland.
