Clyde Marina was developed in a sheltered deep water traditional harbour and now provides 300 full service pontoon berths. Minimum draft at low water is 4.5m. The boatyard has all facilities and 50 ton hoist, plus special winter storage rates and we supply the steel cradles!

Brodick is a popular holiday destination andthe first impression of the village is its backdrop of mountains dominated by the peaks of Cir Mhor and Goatfell. This village offers visitors the widest rangeof facilities on the island: supermarkets, banks, cafes, shops, hotels and visitor centres. There is good variety of eating places and opportunities to sample and buy Taste of Arran produce. An 18-hole golf course, public swimming pool, and attractive sports and adventure activities all complement this fine destination for walkers and nature lovers. Brodick beach is a wide sandy strip of ever-changing dunes which stretches across the mouth of Glen Rosa to the imposing BrodickCastle and Gardens. Fairlie Quay is starting the development process to become a full service Marina and leisure craft service centre and currently boasts the largest marine hoist on the Clyde with lifting capacity of 80 tons.

Located at the village of Fairlie in North Ayrshire, Fairlie Quay Marina is within 30 minutes of Prestwick and Glasgow airports. Fairlie also provides the facilities of post office, ATM, general stores, B&B, train station and bus connections.

Irvine offers numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants in the harbour area and town. Also within easy walking distance is the Magnum Leisure Centre with bowls, badminton, ice-skating, curling and a large pool complex. The Harbour is also home to the Scottish Maritime Museum.

The Harbour is not manned but the Duty Harbourmaster is available by contacting the number above. The pontoons in the harbour belong to the Maritime Museum.

The charted depth at the entrance bar varies both seasonally and annually. Care should be taken especially in on-shore winds in excess of F4 as there can be breaking seas.

Just 3 miles south of Brodick is Lamlash Harbour, which was an assembly point for wartime North Atlantic convoys. As well as being a safe anchorage with shelter from most wind directions it is a magnificent safe area for sailing, especially in dinghies, with a deep bay protected by the Holy Isle. Arran Yacht Club is based in Lamlash and operates 25 Visitor moorings some of which can be booked in advance.

In Lamlash there is a selection of food outlets from home cooking at the Old Pier Tearoom to Pub Grub and Hotel dining. The Old Pier Tearoom also has showers available and the village Co-op Welcome store is open 7 days a week. Lamlash also has an 18 hole golf course which makes visitors welcome at very reasonable rates.

Scotland's finest marina is perfectly situated in the Firth of Clyde for sheltered island sailing, just 40 minutes from Glasgow and Prestwick airports.

It has sheltered access from the Largs Channel between the island of Great Cumbrae and the Ayrshire coast.

The Yacht Haven has an on-site bar and restaurant, coffee shop, sailing club and shops. All shore services are open throughout the year.

There are 750 berths, and boat facilities include a 70 ton hoist, 24 hour diesel, petrol, gas, sewage pump-out, and a slipway.

The Lochranza anchorage is set in scenic surroundings at the centre of the Clyde cruising area. Shoreside facilities include a butcher, a sandwich and coffee bar, and a distillery with guided tours and a shop. The ancient castle situated on the spit is worth a visit, whilst for golfers the course is only 10 to 15 minutes walk, with clubs for hire. Adjacent to the golf course is a caravan and camping site with a shop and tea room.

A bus service connects with other villages, and to Brodick on the east coast.

A new dinghy landing and occasional berthing pontoon is situated close to the dinghy slip.

Millport is well served by shops including newsagents, grocers, craft and gift, clothes, electrical and hardware stores and an internet cafe. Eating places range from restaurants and pubs to fish & chip and ice cream shops.

Cumbrae is renowned for cycling and has several cycle hire shops. Other activities are an 18-hole golf course, crazy golf, football pitches, fly and sea fishing and a network of walking paths.

Worthwhile visits are to the smallest cathedral in the British Isles; The Cathedral of the Isles of the Scottish Episcopal. The University Marine Biological Station has a small museum and aquarium.

Garrison House in the centre of town was the Barracks Captain's mansion, then the home of the Earl of Glasgow, and is currently being renovated.
